ARNE SKAUGE is an Energi Simulation Industrial Research Chair in Low Net Carbon EOR at Heriot-Watt University. Professor Arne Skauge is the Director and CEO of "Energy Research Norway" which is a research company that focus on energy solutions. Based on more than 40 years of experience, the company provides top international level research within water-based and gas-based EOR/IOR (Enhanced/Improved Oil Recovery). Energy Research Norway develops methods for maximum energy efficient oil production internationally. The company initiates, develops, and executes research programs within this field for customers who seek high quality and innovative solutions. The research area spans from fundamental understanding of pore-scale processes to field implementation of EOR projects. In collaboration with research partners, laboratory services for any type of conditions are available. Simulation studies for advanced EOR methods are performed from pore-scale to field-scale using internally developed codes and market leading software. The researchers have first-hand international industry experience on pilot planning, execution and analysis both onshore and offshore.
