RICK CHALATURNYK is an Energi Simulation Industrial Research Chair in Reservoir Geomechanics for Unconventional Reservoirs at the University of Alberta.
Dr. Chalaturnyk’s research is primarily in the area of unconventional resource geomechanics and the geological storage of CO2. This includes the establishment of GeoREF – a Geomechanical Reservoir Experimental Facility designed specifically for high temperature/high pressure testing and that will include Western Canada’s first geotechnical beam centrifuge.
