Integrated reservoir characterisation, modelling, and simulation for geothermal reservoirs – towards a digital twin for the Delft Geothermal Project
This presentation will use the Delft Geothermal Project, a once-in-a-generation geothermal R&D project located on the campus of TU Delft, to discuss how we can combine seismic reservoir characterisation and monitoring with novel reservoir modelling and simulation approaches to not only ensure the safe and sustainable operation of geothermal reservoir itself but also answer the fundamental question how much reservoir characterisation is needed to reliably predict the behaviour of a geothermal reservoir and analyse which data provides the most value in this regard.
