Speaker Bio
Daniel Aramburo is a Reservoir Engineer with more than five years of experience and a proven track record of delivering integrated reservoir models for Oil and Gas and CCS. His expertise includes classical reservoir engineering and performing reservoir simulation using the latest reservoir modelling techniques; assessing subsurface risks and uncertainties; and resolving complex technical issues by implementing changes to optimize workflows in reservoir simulation, field performance and effective reservoir management. Daniel is currently responsible for the reservoir modelling of CO2 storage in the P18 fields for Porthos. Technical work includes History Match of the depleted gas fields, compositional/thermal reservoir simulation of the CO2 injection and generic reservoir engineering work, such as Rate and Pressure Transient Analyses (RTA and PTA), required as an input for the application for storage licenses. He is currently involved in the development of the WRFM and other operational related issues as part of the FEED of the project. Apart from the purely technical work, Daniel is interested in the management of storage resources, by this means he developed the implementation of SPE-SRMS to determine the CO2 storage potential for a portfolio of offshore depleted gas fields in the Netherlands.
